Yimin (Edward) Wu

Yimin Wu's compositions have been actively performed in various regions and through radios. His compositions have been featured in WOCMAT Forum Conference, Modern Academy Laboratorium, Zodiac Music Academy & Festival, Matching Making Concert, Acoustic Frontier Project, Bowling Green State University MicroOpera Concert, KC VITAs Summer Series, International Computer Music Conference, Asian Composers League Festival & Conference, The Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation Composers Scheme, among others. His works have been presented by notable ensembles and musicians, such as Toledo Symphony Orchestra, Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Hong Kong New Music Ensemble, Zodiac Trio, Dawning Quartet, Unassisted Fold, and Hong Kong Wind Kamerata. Wu won the First Prize in 2018 New Generation Concert, held by the Hong Kong Composers' Guild and Radio Television Hong Kong. He's currently working on a string quartet commissioned by the Hong Kong Composers' Guild.
Wu graduated from Hong Kong Baptist University in music composition, and is currently pursuing his master's degree in music composition at Bowling Green State University in the United States. Wu's primary composition teachers are Marilyn Shrude, Mikel Kuehn, and Christopher Coleman. Wu received LRSM in piano performance under the guidance of Karl Lo.
Wu received scholarships from College of Musical Arts, HKSAR Government Talent Development Scholarship, HKBU Metropolitan Attachment Program Scholarship, and Pro Musica Graduate Scholarship.
