Adrian Wong

Born and raised in Hong Kong in 1999, Adrian Wong strives to create music that is engaging to perform and listen to. His works have been performed at the Midwest Composers Symposium, the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival, the University of Michigan CoLab concert, and other esteemed venues and concerts. He has an affinity for writing pieces for unaccompanied SATB chorus, and has works commissioned and performed by the award-winning Diocesan Boys’ School and Diocesan Girls’ School Senior Mixed Choir. His instrumental works showcase his love of shimmering harmonies and driving rhythms, creating works that possess great charm.
Adrian is currently pursuing a B.M. in music composition at the University of Michigan, studying under Bright Sheng, having also studied with Kristin Kuster and Ng Wah-hei. Adrian is also studying piano under Matthew Bengtson and conducting under Mark Stover, with previous teachers including Julie Skadsem and Felix Shuen.
