The Blue Sweater Series is a producing arts organization that provides opportunities for musicians and composers of color to perform in non-conventional spaces to attract non-traditional audiences and ultimately diversify the field of classical music.

We provide a concert series that focuses on diversity by featuring performers and composers who are people of color, and accessibility by performing accessible contemporary classical music in accessible locations like breweries, casual restaurants, schools, and outdoor locations. We also host a website that contains recordings of performances, sheet music of the music performed, and composer contact information in order to provide a platform and a direct point of contact for musicians and composers who are people of color to foster dialogue in the musical community.
